Signed documents and a pen on a meeting table

Engagement process

From scoping call to final workpaper pack — what happens when you engage Cloudscaleapps on a lease portfolio.

  1. 1

    Scoping call

We confirm reporting framework, year-end date, entity count, and approximate leases. You leave with a draft information list and a fee range.

  2. 2

    Engagement letter

Scope, sample approach, timeline, fees, and confidentiality are set in writing. Work begins after the deposit clears.

  3. 3

    Information request

Register extract, largest contracts, rate memos, prior-year notes, and modification logs. We flag gaps early rather than pausing mid-fieldwork.

  4. 4

    Fieldwork

Walkthroughs, recalculations, and interviews. Interim findings are shared verbally so your team can gather missing files without waiting for the draft report.

  5. 5

    Close-out and pack

Draft report, management responses, final findings, and a workpaper index your statutory auditors can navigate.

Timing relative to year-end

For March reporters we prefer to start fieldwork by late January. For December reporters, October starts leave room for remediation. Compressed programmes are possible; they require a written sample limit so expectations stay honest.

Who you will meet

A senior lease accounting lead runs the kick-off and close-out. A fieldwork associate maintains the query log. You will not be asked to re-explain the portfolio to a rotating cast each week.
